Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 11, 2026
BrikZ ("we", "our", or "us") operates the BrikZ mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

- Username and display name
- Profile photo (optional)
Collection Data
- LEGO sets and minifigures you add to your collection
- Purchase prices, dates, and notes you enter
- Watchlist items
- CMF scanner checklist selections
User-Generated Content
- Set reviews and ratings
- Photos uploaded with reviews and posts
- Comments and likes on posts
- Display/MOC posts
Usage Data
- App interactions and feature usage
- Device type and operating system version
- Crash reports and performance data
Camera Data
- Camera is used for CMF barcode scanning and for the set scanner (identifying a LEGO set from a photo)
- Photos taken for reviews/posts are uploaded to our servers
- We do not access your camera roll without your permission
- On-device NSFW content scanning is performed before upload (no data sent externally for this)
Set Scanner Photos
- When you tap a set to identify it, the cropped photo of that set is sent to our servers, processed to find a match, and not stored. Identification processing uses Voyage AI as an embedding provider; photos are not retained by us for this step.
- Scan sharing: when you accept our Terms, photos of sets you scan — together with your confirmation of which set it was — are stored privately and used to improve set identification for everyone.
- Shared scan photos never include location data. An on-device check blocks any photo containing a person from ever being shared.
- You can turn scan sharing off at any time in Settings.
- Shared scan photos are stored without any link to your account — they are anonymized at the moment of sharing and cannot be attributed to you. Because of this, they may be retained after account deletion to keep improving identification. If you have a concern about a specific photo, contact support@brikzapp.com.
